Covid-19 & Ramadan Family Food Packs

What we are doing?

Protectionist measures by national governments during the coronavirus crisis could provoke food shortages around the world, the UN’s food body has warned.

Bangladesh government is working rapidly to keep the country at a lock-down and keep the people safe and healthy. This obviously means ordinary residents are unable to go out shopping for food. The most at risk will be from the rural villages as the reach will not be possible due to the lock-down.

Children and elderly are the most vulnerable. CAP Foundation has already started delivering emergency food supply to the most rural people in the villages. Our aim is to support the destitute families in this crisis and with your help we can deliver food packs to remote areas in need.

“Spend (in charity) out of the sustenance that We have bestowed on you before that time when death will come to someone, and he shall say: “O my Lord! If only you would grant me reprieve for a little while, then I would give in charity, and be among the righteous.” – The Holy Quran, 63:10.

How can you help?

A single food pack will feed an average family of five during the Pandemic CoronaVirus Lockdown and support destitute families with essential food items.

£25 is all it takes to support a family with one food pack. That’s just over £3.50 a week for the following:

  • Rice
  • Oil
  • Sira (Flattened Rice)
  • Lentils
  • Chickpeas
  • Milk Powder
  • Salts
  • Sugar
  • Spices and Soap
